T. D. Eggers

I am a 76 year old double history major from Purdue University, and did my graduate work at Depauw University. Over my lifetime I've been a school teacher, wrestling coach, a salesman, spent 30 years as a period furniture designer and manufacturer. I've been a bank VP, a retailer, a restaurateur, a chef, land developer, an antiques auctioneer, and most importantly to me, a husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. My favorite pass-times are collecting rare American antiques, fishing, shooting, playing golf, restoring antique autos and writing historical fiction. The most rewarding things I've done was to work with youth as a wrestling coach, Scoutmaster, teacher and with 4-H kids. I lost count but I had something around 23 boys become Eagle Scouts. I've been married 54 years to the same sweetheart of a lady, and have a remarkable son that has met and surpassed about every goal he set for himself. My life has been blessed and I've gotten to enjoy so many varied activities. The goals now are to never quit moving forward with our interests and projects. I have been able to accomplish all these things because of great teachers, great friends, and a great family. I would have been nothing without them and my dear wife who has stood beside me every step of the way.
