Tami Hohn Meara has been passionate about writing and illustrating since childhood. Growing up, she would sit on the floor, watching cartoons, and sketching what she saw on the screen, beginning her lifelong journey as an artist and storyteller. Now a Christian mom raising Gen Z children, Tami has recognized a shift in the landscape of children’s books. She saw the need for stories that not only capture kids' attention but also introduce them to literary elements like alliteration, vocabulary, and metaphor in exciting, dynamic ways. With a heart for demonstrating real faith to young people, Tami celebrates wild and witty characters who don’t quite fit the mold. Her stories feature characters who live their faith authentically, making mistakes—sometimes really big ones—but finding ways to work through them in meaningful ways. To her, messy lives wrapped in humor and warmth make the best stories. Tami’s writing style blends humor and vibrant imagery, weaving in meaningful themes and lively vocabulary—all while keeping the reading experience fast-paced and concise. Through her work, she hopes to inspire young readers to discover the joy of language, the strength of faith, and the beauty of storytelling.
