Tanya Hilson

关于作者

My name is Tanya, and to simply put it, I love writing and the joy of storytelling. My passion for writing started at a young age and has stayed with me throughout my life, but I would never have thought in a million years that I'd be writing screenplays, stage plays, television pilots, or children's books due to my dyslexia. I love to write because it humbles me and it's therapeutic to me; sharing my stories with others brings me joy. I'm a mother of two children, and a grandmother to a beautiful granddaughter. A passionate humanitarian to my core, I also run a nonprofit called WeLiveOn2, which supports low-income families by teaching them computer literacy and job readiness skills, as well as helping those who have been previously incarcerated obtain employment. We also have a program called "Sandwiches on Wheels," which helps feed the homeless around the Chicagoland areas. I've written several books, which include, Back Porch Neighbors, Back Porch Secrets, Ruby's Diner, Human Collateral, Shadow Eyes, John's Hidden Truth, and My Cousin Sue. Outside of work, I love spending quality time with family, loved ones, and friends. I also enjoy cooking, playing cards, watching movies, and playing video games. My Saying is, "Never give up on a dream, for others cannot dream for you." Tanya Hilson
