Ted Naifeh

Ted Naifeh is a writer and illustrator of comics for readers of all ages. He's best known for COURTNEY CRUMRIN, a multi-volume horror-fantasy adventures of a tween curmudgeon witch and her warlock uncle. In 2014, Ted created PRINCESS UGG, the adventure of a barbarian princess going to princess finishing school. Courtney Crumrin has been nominated for several Eisner awards, and remains a popular mainstay on the shelves of discerning comics shops. Princess Ugg has garnered much praise from the comics community and beyond. Ted's other works include POLLY AND THE PIRATES, an all-ages adventure of a shy girl kidnapped into the role of Pirate Queen, the famous goth romance comic GLOOMCOOKIE, and the critically acclaimed HOW LOATHSOME, which explores San Francisco's underground subcultures. Ted’s current projects include NIGHT'S DOMINION, which combines sword and sorcery adventure with modern superhero tropes, and HEROINES, a satirical examination of superhero comics from the perspective of a young woman who decides to form her own all female team of heroes. Ted lives in San Francisco with a pet fog named Karl.
