His biography of the author and miscreant William DonaLdson, YOU CANNOT LIVE AS I HAVE LIVED AND NOT END UP LIKE THIS was a BBC Radio 4 Book of the Week and was praised by the Sunday Times as 'utterly gripping, hilarious, heartbreaking.' Also a singer-songwriter, Terence Blacker has released four albums of songs LOVELY LITTLE GAMES (2012), SOMETIMES YOUR FACE DON'T FIT (2016), ENOUGH ABOUT ME (2018) and PLAYING FOR TIME (2020).
