As it turns out, US jobs pay very well compared to jobs in most of the rest of the world, and US dollars travel well (for now). The cost of a down payment on a typical house in the US is enough to buy an entire home for cash in all sorts of amazing places in the world. That’s good math as far as we’re concerned.
