Theo Despoudis

I’ve worked in all phases of software construction from frontend to backend in large commercial pro-jects. I’m currently a Senior Software Engineer at WP Engine. Additionally I have experience working over the past two years as a Senior Mentor in a Coding Bootcamp, where I was aiding people learn how to code in Python using Flask and Django. Previous to WP Engine, I was working on a Clinical Trials Platform where we develop software that helps the trial participants perform their job better and on a High Frequency Trading Platform where we were building a large scale UI application. Before that I was working on a mobile security and sec-ops company where I was using Python and PHP to build custom proxies and server software. Prior to that, I was working in a Social Platform where I was using Django to develop a REST API for our mobile clients. I love contributing to open source software. I’ve added features and fixed bugs to well-known projects like Redis.py, RQ and Cookiecutter while adhering to their project structure and code quality stand-ards. I also love sharing my knowledge with others. I’ve authored several technical articles and guides about Cloud Computing and Software Engineering and I’m the author of a Video programming course in Go and an upcoming Workshop book about React.
