Thomas attended the University of California, Berkeley, where he majored in Computer Science. During his time at Berkeley, he developed a strong passion for open-source software and started to work with Linux, an open-source operating system. After graduating with honors in 2005, Thomas started his professional career as a software engineer at a Silicon Valley startup, where he focused on developing security features for Linux-based systems. Cybersecurity Expertise In the early 2000s, the rise of cyber threats made it evident that cybersecurity was going to be a crucial area of focus for businesses and governments alike. Recognizing the importance of this field, Thomas decided to specialize in cybersecurity. He obtained several professional certifications, including the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and the Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP).
