Thomas Crymes

Thomas Crymes (1971 - Present) grew up in Pennsauken, NJ and spent his childhood visiting Six Flags Great Adventure every Summer, but in 2001 that all changed. That was the year of his first visit to Cedar Point which quickly turned into an odyssey of roller coaster riding that continues to this day. He's visited over 40 different amusement parks and ridden around 400 different roller coasters. While longing for the next thrill, he also admired their beauty and began photographing them as early as 2002. Somewhere along the way his picture-taking improved and before long he had a vast trove of pictures that he eventually turned into his first photography book (American Coasters: A Thrilling Photographic Ride). But that book was far from complete, so he visited more parks and accumulated plenty more photos that eventually turned into his next book (American Coasters 2: Coast to Coast). Today he continues to visit new parks, ride new coasters, and take even more photographs. Could a third book be in the future? Who knows.
