Thomas Jacob is an award winning writer and director. He won the TIME Asia wide essay writing competition at 17, and published his first book, Trek the Stars, two years later. His films and documentaries have been screened at festivals worldwide, including the Berlin International Film Festival. His work explores questions of identity, transformation and conflict in India's rapidly changing cultural and social milieu. His books - Sex, Drugs & Goan Trance, Hi Stranger!, Man Eaters: The Last Refuge, The Ouija App, Becoming a Mentality Monster, The Rotting Pinecones, Head Hunters - among others - have been downloaded over a million times on Google Play. He worked on film productions in New York City, before moving to Mumbai.
