Thompson Smith

Born and raised on the oceanfront of Virginia Beach, VA I have been an avid waterman my whole life. My father got me started fishing as soon as I could hold a rod and surfing when I was 5 years old. From fishing in the Florida Keys as a young boy to fishing my home waters of the Chesapeake Bay as a mate on a sportfishing boat as a teenager to exploring all the Outer Banks of North Carolina has to offer, my youth was full of adventure. My college years were spent in Florida where I took advantage of being able to fish the Florida Keys extensively. I have continued to visit the Keys as often as possible. After college, I moved to the West Coast, San Diego, and was fortunate to be a partner in a successful photography business that allowed me to travel through Mexico, Central America, and the South Pacific surfing and fishing along the way. I am now back in Virginia with my family and enjoying being back home writing and running my publishing company.
