Tim Gruenewald

Tim Gruenewald teaches U.S. cultural studies in Hong Kong. His research takes him to the United States and Europe frequently where he investigates how memories of past atrocities shape our present. His award-winning documentary feature film Sacred Ground establishes the connection between two iconic memory sites in the United States: Mount Rushmore National Memorial and the site of the Wounded Knee Massacre.
