Born in 1930, I was raised in the Washington DC area. Enlisted in the US Army in 1948 and served in the Army of Occupation of Japan and the Korean War until discharged in 1951. I graduated from Seton Hall University in 1958 courtesy of the GI Bill. In 1951 I was hired by Ford Motor Company as a clerk in the Maintenance department of the Lincoln Mercury Assembly Plant, Metuchen, NJ. Transferred to the New York Sales Office I progressed through field sales positions in eight Lincoln Mercury and Ford Sales Division offices retiring in 1990 as Regional Manager, Dealer Fleet Operations, Great Lakes Region, Ford Division. In retirement I volunteered in the Research Department of the Benson Ford Archives of The Henry Ford. With access to all the records of the Ford Motor Company, I began writing, resulting in three books, one video and 70+ articles on Ford aviation and military history and Ford memorabilia. Currently I am an Associate Editor of the Ford V8 times magazine. Married in 1955, my wife passed away in 2010. I have four children, seven grandchildren and one great-grandson.
