Hello, friends, and welcome to my Amazon store! My name is Tish and I am a Nurse Practitioner, animal lover, hobby farmer and author/writer. I was fortunate to grow up in a small town in rural Nebraska during a time when kids played outside all day and electronic devices were nonexistent. I graduated from The University of Nebraska in 1991 with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing and worked in a small burn center for a short time before relocating to Georgia. I then spent many years practicing in a Level I Trauma Center and eventually landed back in burn nursing. In 2006 I graduated from Georgia Southern University with a Masters Degree and am now a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and wound specialist. At work, I am taking care of patients with burn injuries and complex wounds. At home, I have a hobby bird farm where I raise peafowl, chickens and pigeons. I also rescue and rehabilitate animals with burn injuries and wounds. I have two dogs, my rescue coon hound, Troy, and my beautiful burn survivor, Lillie. I have two grown kids and six grandchildren. My other passion is writing and creating books and journals. I have published many professional articles for various medical and nursing publications and was honored to be asked by Springer Publishing to author the wound edition for their Fast Facts series, which is also available on Amazon.
