Tisha Greenidge was born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago, where she developed a deep love for her country's heritage and diverse culture. She also spent three and a half years in Grenada. During this time, she was immersed in the island's rich culture, which ignited her passion for exploring the nuances of Caribbean culture. After migrating to the U.S., Tisha spent 10 years in Brooklyn's thriving Caribbean community. She was fascinated by the unique blend of similarities and differences that define each island. She created a bucket list to visit as many islands as possible to learn about their people, food, language, culture, traditions, and geography. Inspired by her travels throughout the region, she started the "Ayanna and Adanna" children's book series. These books are written for young readers of the Caribbean diaspora to teach them about what makes the islands so special to their loved ones.
