Tom Rosenstiel is the author of eleven books including four novels, the newest of which, The Days To Come, will be published by Ecco Harper Collins in November 2021. It is the fourth in a series of realistic stories of political intrigue featuring investigators and political fixers Peter Rena and Randi Brooks. Tom began writing fiction after a distinguished career as a press critic and political writer. His book, The Elements of Journalism, co-authored with Bill Kovach, has been called by the Wall Street Journal one of the best five books on journalism ever written. Elements has been translated into more than 25 languages and is used in journalism schools across the US and worldwide. A new fully revised fourth edition of Elements is coming from Penguin Random House in August of 2021, incorporating the Trump presidency, the pandemic, as well as reconsiderations of the platforms and social media. Tom is one of the most recognized thinkers in the country on the future of news. He founded and for 16 years directed media research at the Pew Research Center in Washington.
