Tom Stienstra is the best-selling author of outdoor books on Amazon.com His latest book "52 Weekend Adventures" was the first outdoor book to make the San Francisco Bay Area's best-seller list in 25 years. It won 2nd place in the nation as America's Outdoors Book of the Year from the Outdoor Writers Association of America (OWAA) and was ranked as high as 219 on Amazon's, and has been a No.1 best-seller in several cities and categories on Amazon.com. Among many awards for books, newspaper features, radio work television features and photography, Tom Stienstra won the Emmy from the National Television, Arts and Sciences for his national PBS Special, "The Mighty T," which he hosted and co-authored and co-produced. He was the first outdoors writer from California in the 93-year history of OWAA to win national Outdoor Writer of the Year for career achievement. Amazon has twice awarded his book "California Camping" as No. 1 Book in the World for parks and recreation.
