Tom Virden

Tom Virden was born and raised in the suburbs of Los Angeles to a hard-working modest family and from a very early age was captivated by business and becoming financially successful. As a teenager he started selling cars and now has over five decades in the retail automotive business. Becoming a Christian over four decades ago, he faced the challenges of walking the Christian life through one of the most brutal and cut-throat industries that exists today. With enormous swings from making millions to complete failure and poverty, he learned to trust God in every facet of his life and share the evidence of Jesus’ love with everyone he comes in contact with. At the beginning of his conversion, he struggled with the question, how he could become a Christian and stay in the car business? God answered him by the voice of the Holy Spirit on one Sunday at church by telling him to “Just stay in the car business and be My guy in the gutter.” The result of God’s provision and the amazing journey through 50 years led Tom to write this book that will help anyone. Atheist, new believer or seasoned Christians will get new insights into the power of prayer and how much God desires to be in everyone’s day to day life! Tom now lives in Northern Nevada on a mini farm and is still running a Car dealership. He loves the outdoors and wild country of the high desert and mountains. He has five children and three grandchildren who he can’t love enough. Tom has always been an adventurer and over his life has never passed up a hard or dangerous challenge. This book was inspired from five years of teaching prayer and how it relates to life’s hardships to mostly unchurched men in his area. It will take you through many interesting subjects and entertain you with great stories. Tom believes that inside each one of us is a spiritual warrior waiting to be fully used by God to further His Kingdom and this book will help you learn to lean hard into your relationship to Jesus through common sense thinking and constant prayer!
