Tony has spent several decades coaching leaders to encounter God in their most difficult moments, based on a lifetime of engaging God in pain and loss. He developed the Encounter Coaching method (detailed in the book, The Invitation), where change is created by asking Jesus questions that lead to powerful encounters with God. He has started multiple coaching organizations, including an NGO has provided roughly 60,000 hours of coaching to leaders in emerging nations and is acknowledged as a thought leader and founding figure in the Christian coaching movement, where he has been active since 1999. Tony is the author of 20 books on coaching, leadership and emotional health, as well as many multimedia resources and leadership training courses.
