Tracey Dowdeswell

Tracey Dowdeswell is a lawyer and a legal scholar who studies the forensic applications of bioinformatics and data science in the criminal justice system, with an emphasis on forensic genetics. She has a degree in biological sciences, a master’s degree in arts, as well as degrees in civil and common law from McGill University, and an LLM and a PhD from Osgoode Hall Law School of York University. She teaches criminal, immigration and refugee law, and she is an advocate for the rights of victims of crime and human rights abuses everywhere.
