Tracy Collins (1970- ) Lives in New Zealand and would describe herself as 'addicted to writing' and writes and edits every day. "If I don't write? I'm probably dead!". The Transuniversal Doughnut books, a Science Fiction series were her first book releases and 'Roll the Dice' (2016), the first of her books to be published. The 'Doughnut ' series of sixteen volumes is still being released. Other works include the 'Freebies' Series (first published 2018) of non- Science Fiction short story collections. A short novel 'a manga without pictures' has also been published 'Misery Factory: A Short Book Or A Long Short Story' (2018). "Is there a world for me post-doughnut? Definitely! The two book sets 'Crystal Ball / Icy Breath' (2019) and 'Tanaka Shouhei / Commentary' (2020) are in a different vein completely. A new series is being sketched out, but it's not going to be another 'Doughnut', five volumes at the most." Tracy keeps to a regular release schedule. Books release twice yearly at Easter and Christmas. "I write because the stories exist. You have to let them fly. I'm fascinated by Human Nature and in particular, the darker side. The 'Doughnut Series' was largely about human social structures and how weird they can be. Lately, I have been writing about love, but even love isn't 'the cure for all ills' we dream it is. It's a bittersweet fruit."
