关于作者

My passion is to identify the ideas or institutions have made the United States so successful, then help preserve or revive those things for the sake of our posterity. I've been blessed to work in public policy in various ways, currently as a fellow at the Oklahoma Council of Public Affairs and as executive director of Save Our States. I created Save Our States in 2009 to explain the importance of the Electoral College--how it promotes unity and protects the integrity of presidential elections. As part of my work, I spent a few years hosting morning-drive-time radio in Oklahoma City and filled in for various other hosts. I grew up in Washington state, where I previously was executive vice president of the Freedom Foundation and also once ran for the Washington State House of Representatives. I also did a stint in the other Washington, including several years as a legal policy analyst at The Heritage Foundation. While there, I contributed to two books: "The Heritage Guide to the Constitution" and "One Nation Under Arrest: How Crazy Laws, Rogue Prosecutors, and Activist Judges Threaten Your Liberty." I studied law at The George Mason University School of Law (now the Antonin Scalia Law School) and government at Claremont McKenna College. In 2008 I was a Publius Fellow of the Claremont Institute.
