Trevor M. Young

Trevor M. Young (BEng, MSc, PhD): aeronautical engineer, associate professor and pilot. Dr Young is a member of the Scientific Committee of the Clean Sky JU (Brussels). He teaches aircraft design and flight mechanics at the University of Limerick, Ireland. He has published over 100 scientific papers and ten book chapters. "Technical Writing A-Z" (ASME, 2005), which is available in two editions (US Edition and British English Edition), grew out of his frustration with seeing the same mistakes repeated each year in student reports or theses. The book has been adopted as a prime text for teaching report/thesis writing at several universities. "Performance of the Jet Transport Airplane" (Wiley, 2017) is a rigorous treatment of the performance of commercial jet airplanes taking into account operational procedures and FAA/EASA regulations. It took 12 years to write.
