Born amidst the turmoil of war in Eritrea, East Africa, and now a proud Norwegian after 35 years of living in Norway, I am a testament to the power of resilience and transformation. My journey, shaped by unimaginable hardship, has not defined me by its tragedy but by my unwavering determination to rise above it. Through adversity, I have forged a spirit that is fearless, unshakable, and deeply committed to living life with purpose and passion. As the author of The Black Pearl, There is Beauty in the Brokenness, and Fearless, my books reflect the essence of who I am—a voice for those lost in the war, a survivor who turned brokenness into beauty, and a fierce advocate for hope in the face of adversity. I believe in finding light where there seems to be none, and I live by the principle that there is always a way forward, no matter the obstacle. Having lived in Norway for over three decades, I combine the strength of my Eritrean roots with the opportunities and values I have embraced as a Norwegian. Professionally, my background is as diverse as my experiences. With a foundation in child care education, I have worked as a pedagogic leader in kindergartens, worked with autism in special schools, and served as a language supervisor at the university level. My expertise extends to psychology, child development, and even natural medicine, all driven by an insatiable curiosity and a passion for learning. I am more than a survivor. I am a counselor, an educator, and a thinker who inspires those around me. Whether guiding others through life’s challenges or pursuing my interests in medicine and nutrition, I strive to approach everything I do with excellence, creativity, and wisdom. I represent not only myself but the countless lives lost in war—living fearlessly, not just as a choice but as a declaration of strength. My mission is to be a voice for the voiceless and a beacon of hope for all who face their own battles.
