A cultural and intellectual historian, folklorist and parapsychologist, Ursula has been writing and lecturing about the world's supernatural folklore and the paranormal for more than three decades. She is recognized as the leading authority on the Chicago region’s ghostlore and is the author of twelve popular and critically acclaimed books, receiving a Chicago Public Library Foundation award for significant contributions to the city's literary culture. The host of PBS Chicago's "The Hauntings of Chicago," Ursula has also appeared on scores of television programs, including “Ghost Adventures” and “The Maury Show” (NOT a baby daddy episode), and she hosts the weekly podcasts "Uncanny Catholic" and "The Ghostlorist." Ursula also teaches courses in history and folklore for Chicago-area colleges; she holds a Bachelors degree in history from Benedictine University and a Masters in American cultural and intellectual history from Northeastern Illinois University.
