Dr. Viswanath M. Aluru, M.D. brings over 13 years of experience in enhancing health outcomes for patients with neurological disorders through compassionate care and innovative research. With over 13 years of extensive experience as a physician and researcher, Dr. Aluru is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life and health outcomes for patients suffering from neurological disorders. As an attending physician at Ochsner Health, he specializes in delivering comprehensive care and rehabilitation for a diverse range of conditions, including stroke, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, poly trauma and complex neurological conditions. Dr. Aluru is active in several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, American Society of Neurorehabilitation, and the World Stroke Organization. Dr. Aluru’s passion for patient care drives his efforts to integrate new medical advancements into practice, ensuring that those he cares for receive the highest standard of treatment. Dr. Aluru authored several research articles, abstracts, posters in the field of Neurorehabilitation and Stroke/Brain injury rehabilitation. He presented his research at several conferences. Dr. Aluru earned his medical degree from Dr. N.T.R. University of Health Sciences, Gandhi Medical College, Secunderabad, India. He completed his internship training in General Surgery at University of Illinois, Chicago and residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center, One Brooklyn Health System, Brooklyn, NY.
