Valerie X Armstrong is a former fat kid who grew up in Miami, Florida, during the time of the Cuban Missile Crisis. Her school days included not only being bullied about her weight, but taking part in "Duck and Cover" drills, as nuclear catastrophe was looming on the horizon. She is now an artist/designer/writer living in Central Florida, as well as an anti-bullying, size acceptance activist, raising awareness, breaking down old stereotypes and promoting equality and respect for fat people.
