Vanessa Lake

Vanessa Lake is a licensed clinical social worker who provides mental health therapy for corrections officers and employees of high-adrenaline jobs who are dealing with trauma, anxiety, and burnout. She provides services with compassion, empathy, sarcasm, and a fair bit of cussing along the way. Vanessa is the owner of the private practice Finding Your Way Therapy, LLC located in Lansing, Michigan. She’s affectionately referred to as the Purple Couch Lady because she does in fact have a purple therapy couch. Vanessa is a certified EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) practitioner and a certified Reiki practitioner. Her love of science drew her to these evidence-based energy healing techniques, and she continues to study the laws of energy and quantum physics. She enjoys spending time in nature or curling up with a good fantasy novel and a cup of tea. She resides with her fur babies Lotus, Monk, Bonsai, and Sensei.
