Vijay Kumar Thakur

Dr Vijay Kumar Thakur (VKT) is a Professor in the Biorefining and Advanced Materials Research Centre of Agriculture and Business Management Department at Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC), Edinburgh, United Kingdom and also holds an Adjunct Professor position in the Research School of Polymeric Materials, Jiangsu University, China; Visiting Professor at Shiv Nadar University India and Visitor at Cranfield University, UK. He has previously held faculty positions at Cranfield University UK, Washington State University USA, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and LHU–Taiwan. Vijay's research activities span the disciplines of Biorefining, Biomaterials, Chemistry, Composites, Manufacturing, Materials Science and Nanotechnology, Polymers as well as all aspects of Advanced and Sustainable Materials. He has published over 200 SCI journal articles, 50 books, 40 Book Chapters and hold one US patent (technology transferred to Industry). He also sits on the editorial board of several SCI Journals as Associate Editor/ Editor/ Editorial Advisory Board Member.
