Ville Kaajakari

关于作者

Ville Kaajakari has been playing with MEMS since 1999. After his PhD on ultrasonic microactuators, he moved on to crafting microresonators for timing references. His seminal paper “Nonlinear limits for single-crystal silicon microresonators” in 2004 on silicon nonlinearities contributed to the industrialization of MEMS timing devices. Ville is interested in practical and commercial applications of MEMS. He has worked on the commercialization of piezoelectric MEMS resonators which resulted in the first commercial piezoelectric clock resonator released in 2019. More recently, Dr. Kaajakari has been finding new applications for piezoMEMS.
