Virgie Townsend

Virgie Townsend (she/they) is the author of the fiction chapbook Because We Were Christian Girls (Black Lawrence Press, 2022). As a fiction writer, essayist, and reporter, her work has been featured or is forthcoming in The New York Times, Tin House Online, Washington Post, Harper’s Bazaar, VICE, SmokeLong Quarterly, and The Sun Magazine, among other publications.
