Virginia Tormey Friedman

Virginia Tormey Friedman was born in Staten Island and now lives in the Carolina Lowcountry with her husband. She has worked in higher education and has written, produced and directed independent films and public television. Her efforts to document Lowcountry life have been recognized by her adopted state with the South Carolina Governor's Award for the Humanities and garnered two EMMY awards.
