Vivian Varasdi is a fine art and visual media artist born and raised in the Dominican Republic. She first learned to paint at the age of 12 at La Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes, Santo Domingo, DR, before immigrating to the United States with her family at the age of 16. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Media Arts from New Jersey City University and won 2nd Place at the 26th Annual NJ Young Filmmakers’ Festival in 2004. Vivian is the author and illustrator of the children’s books “The Bottle That Was Left Behind,” a story about recycling and "The Enchanted Balloon". Vivian currently resides in California with her husband and daughter Valentina.
