关于作者

My name is Vladislav Tamarov.I was born in Leningrad, Russia. I served in Afghanistan in 1984-1986 in Soviet Airborne Special Forces. My specialty was minesweeper. 621 days of war I didn't want. 217 days of combat I couldn't forget. I am an author of "Afghanistan: a Russian Soldier's Story" ("10speed Press", November 2001), what is new edition of "Afghanistan: Soviet Vietnam" ("Mercury House", May 1992). My story is about 18-20 years old kids, who was drafted, send to fight in a foreign land. The same kids, who didn't want to go there, but didn't have a choice. All we wanted was... just to go home... ALIVE! And in order to do so, we had to kill those, who tried to kill us. We were solders. I was lucky to see my home, but many of my friends didn't. The second edition of my book available on amazon and in your local bookstores and libraries. I had over 15 one man photo exhibits in USA and 2 in Russia. My pictures was published in USA, Finland, Greece, Australia, France, Russia, Japan, Czechoslovakia, Great Britain. Now I am working on my 2 next books.
