W. Murray Rodgers

As a geologist, company founder and CEO in the energy industry, Murray has lead teams in many countries, including Austria, Albania, Croatia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, the US and Canada. He played a key role in discovering one of the largest gas fields in Pakistan, and raised over $1.5 Billion in capital. In his experience, failures in business are often due to endemic fear, power and ego-driven behaviours (including his own!), lurking behind the guise of ‘leadership’. Leadership development programs often do not challenge leaders to develop the deep, honest self-knowledge that is truly required of leaders. In pursuit of this self-knowledge, Murray explored the shamanic world of Amazon psychedelic plant medicine, Ayahuasca. Over a two-week period in Costa Rica, he spent a total of 3.5 full days in an altered state of consciousness. During this extraordinary journey into the unknown, he was shown that plant medicine could become a valuable tool for developing true leaders in business, and in life.
