Walter Hickey

Walt Hickey is a journalist. He is currently the Deputy Editor for Data and Analysis at Insider, he is the writer of the daily morning newsletter Numlock News, and serves as the president of the GALECA: The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics. He is the author of You Are What You Watch, published by Workman Press in October 2023. He previously worked as the chief culture writer at FiveThirtyEight, and his work has appeared on Marvel.com, ESPN, ABC News and in Vanity Fair. He graduated from The College of William & Mary with a degree in applied mathematics. He currently lives in Astoria, New York
