Wilford Kale

A native of Charlotte, N.C., Wilford Kale is a retired newspaperman and Virginia state agency official. He has been writing or editing books, non-fiction history, since 1985. With a rare exception, all of his books have focused on Tidewater Virginia with five of them related to the College of William and Mary. His most recent volume is "From Student to Warrior -- A Military History of the College of William and Mary." In 2012 he edited and wrote chapters in, "A Very Virginia Christmas," which was cited by Independent Publishers Awards as the top holiday book. The author has lived in Williamsburg, Va. for the past 50+ years.
