Will Smart

Will Smart is one of those rare instances where he knew which direction he wanted his life to go early on. His fondest memories of taking Sunday drives with his parents awakened his interest in architecture. Whether it was classic barns from America’s heartland or the innovative designs rising up across the small towns of his youth, Will was fascinated by it all. More importantly, he found interest in what else could be done if he applied a little thought and creativity. It was his father who suffered the most during this stage as he stepped on more loose Legos than he cares to remember. Will’s obsession took a new direction with the rise of renewable energy technologies. His focus balanced between drafting innovative designs through green technology, using solar panels and eco-mobility. Will graduated from Northwestern University with honors and runs his own architecture firm. It was natural for him to want to share his passion with others and turned to writing several articles, short informational pieces, and now a book on what he terms revolutionary new designs for a sustainable future that is both people and planet friendly.
