William L. Leffler

Dr. Leffler has had 36 years of oil industry experience in the exploration/production, petrochemical, refining, marketing, and transportation sectors as a manager, consultant, strategist, and other executive positions for the Royal Dutch/Shell Companies. Leffler has written or co-authored a number of books which have become industry standards, including * Petroleum Refining in Nontechnical Language * Petrochemicals in Nontechnical Language * Deepwater Exploration & Production - a Nontechnical Guide * Oil & Gas Pipelines in Nontechnical Language * Oil & Gas Production in Nontechnical Language. Over 120,000 copies of these books have been sold. People sometimes asked him in jest when he was going to make the movie. In fact, he stars in a ten video CD set of the Refining book, which is also doing well. Of course his favorite book is his Romancing the Scone--Finding Our Way in a Land Full of Brits, a satire about the ex-patriots who live in England and the very British subjects they encounter. Leffler earned a BS from MIT and an MBA and Ph.D. from New York University and is currently a consultant, writer, and lecturer at the University of Houston.
