关于作者

When I was an undergraduate, there was one particular class - Theoretical Foundations of Computer Science - that caught my interest and showed me that I wanted to go on to grad school. When I did my PhD, I was the TA for this class for three years. There was one thing I didn't like: the textbooks. There were always things I saw students struggle with that the various textbooks we tried just didn't adequately explain, pushing me towards writing my own. When I started giving talks at programming conferences a few years later, I saw the demand for material explaining computer science concepts for people who already knew how to code. Thus, the Programmer's Guide series was born. When not writing books, I work as a software developer. In the past I've taught middle school math and science, edited a textbook, and written for magazines. My hobbies include photography, board games, and science fiction. In my occasional spare time, I blog at http://www.whatwilliamsaid.com/
