YS Reffitt

Yolanda, author of Songs from the Heart, was born and raised in the Wild and Wonderful mountain state of West Virginia. She is an ordinary county girl who loves to get dressed up like a princess but is more comfortable in jeans and boots digging in the mud, whether it's in a side by side riding over the mountains all day or planting flowers in her backyard. She lives with her husband and has two boys that have now grown into two fine young men. She graduated with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Elementary Education and went on to earn her Masters of Arts from West Virginia University with degree as a Reading Specialist. She teaches reading to young students and writes when she can. Yolanda believes her family, friends, and faith to be the most important to her. She spends most of her time with family and friends whether it's just enjoying time together or traveling together. She likes to write in the evenings and in the summer by the pool or ocean. She enjoys writing about overcoming obstacles and adventures with friends. She is currently working on a few children's books and another novel.
