Yael Kedem

Yael Kedem is an interior designer and has been the owner of SketchUp Center in Israel for the past 11 years. She also trains professionals to use SketchUp software, while integrating and implementing it into the work process in the local market. Yael has written 9 instruction books for SketchUp and a variety of instruction leaflets over the years. She decided to translate her latest, most comprehensive book into English and to share it worldwide. She wrote the books from her own experience working with the software and with the ultimate goal of making it easier for users to understand SketchUp and incorporate it into the work. While writing, Yael specialized in the two different computer (WI) environments and also taught courses in the CAD software that dominates the job market, all to make it easier for users to integrate SketchUp as an essential part of their job and provide proper workflow with short commands for optimal success. The author recommends combining the study of this book with a practical or online course (currently taught in Israel at a number of universities and schools), but it certainly also stands on its own for independent study. The book is accompanied by many exercises and solutions that present all the different scenarios in working with SketchUp, from the level of a sketch to the level of exporting sections, videos and entire presentations.
