Apart from her family’s struggle to find captivating Islamic children’s books, Yasmin always dreamed of writing and sharing beneficial knowledge. Years of collecting and reading hundreds of non-Islamic children’s books to her children pushed her to write engaging and authentic Islamic children’s books. She holds an undergraduate degree in psychology and a postgraduate degree in education. One year of teaching second grade made her realize the education system’s one-size-fits-all approach wasn’t for her. This led her to choose homeschooling for her future children. In 2016, Yasmin began her homeschooling journey when her firstborn was four. Eight years later, she is a proud homeschooling mom of four children. She aspires to merge her skills and passion for Islamic knowledge to share engaging, accessible, and authentic Islamic content. She strives to have a holistic approach to both teaching her children and her storytelling adventures. Islamic principles guide her life, teaching and writing.
