Dr. Yoav Wachsman is a professor of economics and an author. He completed his undergraduate degree in economics from Salisbury University and received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa. He specializes in environmental economics and has a keen interest in sustainable development. Yoav wrote a series of children's books called Fables from the Forest to teach children to appreciate nature. This beautifully illustrated series teaches essential life lessons. Each book focuses on a different forest animal, but the animals' stories intersect. Every book also includes a map of the forest, fun facts about the feature animals, and discussion questions. Yoav lives in Myrtle Beach with his family. He has a forest behind his house that served as an inspiration for many of his fables. As a professor, he mentors students and helps them develop life, learning, and leadership skills. He is an educator, economist, and entertainer.
