Yolanda King

Yolanda King is the author of the Story Bird Dance series, and the Curlilocks series. Her first book, Curlilocks and the Three Pink Pandas, is listed on BuzzFeed's "19 Unforgettable Children's Books that Celebrate Diversity." She is a former fifth and sixth-grade math teacher and business management consultant. Yolanda graduated from Texas Southern University and shortly afterwards from the University of Houston with an M.Ed. in Instructional Technology. Her handsome husband of over twenty-four years and their two fantabulous kids call Austin, Texas home. Her best writing is done at the library, in local coffee shops, and in her comfy hazel swivel chairs. When she’s not reading or writing you can find her playing pickle ball, researching the perfect dog, drinking tea and planning the family’s next adventure.
