Nostalgic summer love stories never cease to intrigue me and Ann Patchett's writing about relationships is simply sublime. Put the two together and it's a novel for the ages. This delightful reflection on the power of young love, and deep appreciation of what makes a great marriage, stayed on my mind long after I read the (very surprising) last chapter. —Reese Witherspoon
This thriller starts with a big, morally-compromising choice. After her good friend (a world-renowned author) passes away in front of her, June Hayworth decides to steal her friend's unpublished manuscript and submit it as her own. The whole plot races forward from this fateful decision, diving deep into cultural appropriation, the cut-throat nature of the publishing world and the brutality of cancel culture. I was completely consumed with whether or not June would get away with this utter fraud...so many twists and turns kept me guessing until the very end. And WOW... what a great conversation starter. —Reese Witherspoon
In this novel set in the not-so-distant future, Asian American citizens are censored and monitored by the government. A young man, Bird, searches for the truth about his mother, a poet and a revolutionary, who has disappeared. What he discovers is his mother's innate ability to rise above the most terrifying adversity to help her child. Celeste writes with real poetry about the relationship between mothers and children. I always find myself highlighting my favorite passages to keep her words close to my heart and to share with my fellow mom friends. —Reese Witherspoon
Parenting is a non-stop, humbling experience for everyone who dares it! So why not get some great advice from a doctor who gets how difficult it can be? Dr. Becky wrote this book to help all the caregivers out there with all the big questions: Will my kid ever stop whining? How do I set boundaries? What kind of discipline works? There is so much practical advice on how to raise happy, resilient, and respectful kids in this book and on Dr. Becky's website. I pick up this book at least once a week to remember some of my most important parenting tools. —Reese Witherspoon
