That's right, after a lousy interview that could have changed everything for me, I headed over to the local small town bar to sulk when the one man I shouldn't want walked in. This story is perfect. I’ve wanted Ryland’s story since book 1 & could not have anticipated the full gamut of emotions Meghan Quinn gave me.Did i cry? Yes.Was it super spicy since the beginning? Also yes.Do we get to see all our favorite almond bay couples? Of course.The banter between our MCs is top tier as one expects from a Meghan Quinn book but it’s Ryland’s dialogue (literally everything that he says & thinks) that had me laughing out loud.🎧 Listening to the audiobook in duet narration by Sebastian York & Samantha Brentmoor brought Ryland & Gabby to life. Absolute perfection.This story is about Ryland Rowley, small town high school baseball coach & single guardian to his young niece. He has one steamy night with Gabby, a woman he thought was passing through. Gabby, in town for a job interview that didn't go well, never thought she'd see Ryland again either. Turns out, she got the job - as Ryland's assistant coach. And that apartment she found - Ryland is her landlord. Forced together, they try to maintain boundaries but saying they'll keep things professional & doing it are much harder than either of them thought...This is spicy (like immediately - no slow burn here), heartwarming, hilarious - Gabby & Ryland go head-to-head trying to fight off their feelings for each other. It's a battle they don't win & despite Ryland trying, he can't seem to stay away. Both of them have baggage but their romance breaks down their walls & seeing them support each other really tugged at my heartstrings. Also must give a huge shoutout for the bond with Ryland's niece Mac. Ryland's relationship with her is so beautiful (hello "Uncle Dad") & the way Gabby takes to Mac as if she was her own... just get your tissues ready.This might just top my favorites of Meghan Quinn's. Both of these characters have rich backgrounds, wonderful supporting family characters & it's just such an entertaining read. I didn't want it to end.     I've been waiting forever for Ryland's story, and Meghan Quinn did NOT disappoint! Watching Ryland and Gabby navigate their struggles while showing such strength and perseverance was both heartbreaking and inspiring. The way they not only survived but lifted their siblings up and thrived? Absolutely beautiful.

    That scene where Bennett calls Gabby with the big news, and she just breaks down? UGH, it was so raw and real—I was crying right there with her. And seeing Ryland learn to open up, embrace love, and realize he deserves a life outside of his responsibilities? Perfection. These two are so hard on themselves, yet they’re always the first to lift each other up.

    And let’s not forget... THE SPICE. 🔥🔥 So. Many. Spicy. Scenes. 🥵 Meghan Quinn brought the heat, and I am obsessed!

    Ryland and Gabby stole the show with their book! Their connection, banter, chemistry, and tension was phenomenal! Even though I loved this series, this was my favorite book in the Almond Bay series. Samantha Brentmoor and Sebastian York were the perfect narrators to use in this book. They really embodied these characters and made you feel all the emotions they were going through. Meghan also cranked the heat up on this book and kept me hooked the entire time. Please check TW if you have any. This was one of my favorite reads of the year!

    A heartfelt and spicy baseball-themed romance, Meghan Quinn hits it out of the park with The Path to Loving Him! Ryland, a dedicated high school baseball coach, teacher and single dad/guardian who is raising niece after the tragic passing of his sister, finds his world turned upside down when Gabby, his fiery and confident newly hired—unbeknownst to him!—assistant coach and he realizes that she is his tenant in the new house he just bought for his niece, Mac, and himself.

    The sizzling one-night stand they shared before she’s offered the job ignites this sizzling, enemies-to-lovers romance. Full of electric chemistry and emotional depth, Meghan masterfully balances her signature humor with heat and heartfelt moments, crafting an authentic and entertaining small-town love story that kept me smiling from cover to cover. I listened to the audiobook, narrated in duet by Samantha Brentmoor and Sebastian York, who did an incredible job bringing these characters to life in my ears! Five smooches from me for The Path to Loving Him by Meghan Quinn!

    I’ve been loving this series by Meghan and I was so excited to get Ryland’s story and catch up with his family.

    Ryland is a brother, baseball coach and had to step into the father role for his niece, Mac, after his sister passed away. Due to his responsibilities, he has to feel in control of all situations and when his job decides to hire an assistant coach without him, well let’s just say he isn’t too pleased.

    Gabby is trying to find employment and has a promising opportunity in Almond Bay but let’s just say that the interview doesn’t go the way she hoped. When she finds Ryland in a bar, she decides to throw caution to the wind and have one single night with him. Little does she know, she would be contacted after and given the job.

    Gabby can relate to Ryland’s parental role with Mac because she had a similar situation with her brother, Bennett. She trained and supported his passion in pursuing a baseball career and there were a couple moments between them that had me tearing up. I also loved watching Gabby in her work element as she bonds and helps her team.

    This book had me hooked from the very beginning. Ryland and Gabby were so entertaining as they tried to settle into their co worker role while fighting the attraction between them. The scenes with them and Mac were so sweet and just showed them slowly becoming a family. Their journey is a very emotional one which made their HEA that much sweeter.

    This was such a great instalment to the series and with the little hints towards over couples, I can’t wait for the next books to come.

    Meghan you’ve knocked it out of the park again.

    I was so excited to hear Ryland’s story and you definitely did not disappoint (not that you ever do!)

    Gabby is an amazing addition to the series, I love her strength and resilience, and most of all her heart.

    Ryland and his stoic outer layer that cracks to show his gooey centre!

    Amazing book, amazing author, if you haven’t read this then you need to get it downloaded immediately

    I feel like I have to go back and re-rate all other books after reading this one. I just loved it. I loved the maturity of the characters (oh! I have feelings! But I won’t run away, I’ll talk like a human being to the other person!) and it was lovely to see Ryland get a HEA.

    Loved the Almond Bay series. Meghan Quinn is on my auto read list for a reason.
