A bit confusing, but a good read.
So, I didn't like this book as much as the first book (The Housemaid) as I feel like I missed something somewhere. I never got clarity on Douglas and if there was a different man involved. And that back door camera? I am not clear on what it saw and what it saw.That said, I am looking forward to the third in the series. And for those thinking of reading the series, I suggest listening on Audible as it is narrated by Lauryn Allma and that Brooklyn accident for Millie just seems to add a bit to the story.Happy reading!

After the thrill of reading The Housemaid, I was eager to dive into this second release, and it did not disappoint! I’m giving it a solid 5 stars. Compared to the previous book, this one offered a more unpredictable plot, with a conclusion that caught me off guard.
I especially appreciated the subtle details woven into the final lines, leaving a lasting impression. Freida masterfully crafted a completely different housewife character, one I found myself disliking from the start. Yet, I ended up questioning my feelings, much like I did with the housewife in her first book. I loved how she turned the narrative around, making this sequel feel fresh and distinct from the first, while still delivering the same captivating suspense.
