Cadillac of jump ropes!I would've liked to wait a few months to evaluate the durability but these are so good I really felt the need to get a review out there. I've been jumping rope for as long as I've been exercising. Never really too seriously, but enough to be proficient at crossing and double under. I ordered the get fit set from the company's website and was impressed by the quality of materials when it arrived. Yes, it's overpriced for what it is, but this is by far the highest quality jump rope I've ever seen. My set came with both get lean and get strong sets. After a total body workout I put on the 1 lb rope and started jumping. My arms crapped out after like 1 min. I switched to the 1/2 lb. Again my arms couldn't keep up for long. Finally I put on the 1/4lb and for the first time in my life I could jump continuously until I had to stop due to physical exhaustion. With other ropes, I would get tripped up before I reached the point of exhaustion. Because the weight is in the rope itself, I felt more in tune with the rope as I jumped. This allowed me to get in a great rhythm. Switching ropes was extremely easy and quick. Once locked in, the rope isn't going anywhere. The rotation of the rope around me was smooth as butter. I'm not saying these ropes will turn a beginner into an expert immediately. And, I think it's going to take me a long time to build up to the 2lb rope. And perhaps the heavier ropes would be easier if I use them on days I'm not lifting before hand. These are the Cadillac of jump ropes. Can you get by with a cheaper one? Sure, but some of us always want the best.TLDR: Best ropes I've ever used. Totally worth it if you have the money to spend and enjoy jumping. If you're low on cash you can make do with something cheaper.1
