This was exactly what I was in the mood for4.75 starsNow this might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but this was exactly what I was in the mood for, and I loved it so much. The plot was typical of these boarding school, bully romance/alpha rich male vibes, but it felt so much more and complicated especially those messy family dynamics going on.As soon as Whit and Summer encountered one another it was like a firestorm set between them, and it was so intense, but in a good way. Usually I don’t like when things get sexual that early on, but for whatever reason it worked in this situation. There was constant smut, but again it worked. It got more erotic and steamy as it went on, but it also got more emotional intense. I could see and feel that connection building and growing with every encounter they had. Then when the affection, tenderness, and caring came into play, it won me over even more. I fell in love with the romance of Whit and Summer. The biggest positive from this book was how much showing of these two fall in love without the words. It was very clear and very much felt. It was special. It was beautiful. I loved how they showed love towards each other even if it was just in the physical way. The romance was still there even then.My favorite part though had to be Whit’s transformation. I thought it was really done well. I loved the arc that he went through as he fell deeper and deeper for Summer. I loved seeing him become a happy and better person. I loved how he was willing to fight for what he wanted with her. The joy that she brought to his life was so beautiful. It was such a breath of fresh air especially after all the darkness and toxicity that was going on in multiple different ways. I loved it.It did drag out a tad near the end, but I was still satisfied and overjoyed when they finally got their HEA in the end.0
